The Media Program

One of the primary roles of The Initiative is to contribute to the production of the national public television series ’ÄòChristina Cooks’Äô this highly educational program is pivotal to the success and public awareness of the work of The Initiative. Initiative funds will also be made available for the publication of a health education journal for free distribution to schools and communities.

Additionally The Initiative, partnering with other organizations, will develop and implement an ongoing public relations effort designed to counter the daily deluge of highly impactful, manipulative media messages from food manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies and the like, intended to encourage people to make inappropriate food and lifestyle choices. Featuring medical professionals, celebrities and experts in various fields, this effort will be both focused and concentrated, providing information nationally in the form of interviews, advertisements and public service announcements, all geared to changing the American lifestyle and diet.
